Michelle Violy Harper's musings on all things unique and obstusely or acutely hideously gorgeous.

Art that may offend. Food that may resemble art. Scents that stink of divinity. The really unreal. And of course the much beloved "Fashion Fail"

Because nothing inspiring is flawless or perfect. It's in the failures, the experiments, and the unique that I find the greatest joy.

This is my dream space. Enjoy.

TALES OF ENDEARMENT

by Natalie Joos

These are few photos from my shoot with Natalie Joos - full story linked above in the title…

Natalie has an amazing talent for putting friends at ease while capturing all the details through the lens. Her ability to understand vintage, find wonderful subjects, and translate that in a fun and beautiful way is spectacular. Do check out all the lovely ladies on Tales of Endearment - it’s really inspiring!

I hope you enjoy the posting and I’ll be writing a piece about my collection of vintage millinery & sunglasses soon with great resources - keep you posted - Xx! - MVH

VOGUE : ANOTHER DISK, ANOTHER DAY

Musings on why it’s ok to walk out of the house with a giant plate on your head…

Vogue Italia, Vogue US, and Vogue France all spotted me sporting my favorite YAZ BUKEY custom disk hats.

I’m not quite sure if I’m Yaz’s Muse or if I’ve decided she’s mine - I can only say that this Ottoman princess has captured my heart with her intelligent wit and humor.

Perhaps MAN REPELLER put it best here with some hilarious comments …

And yes… I DID!

I hope we all answer the cry of “Oh no she didn’t” with a firm “I did” … Because we need to lighten up and dream a little.

As Ruben Toledo recently said to me … “You have to love something to make fun of it”

And that includes oneself.
